When looking around the internet at “man cave idea” posts, I can only find the typical stuff. It feels like everything is all about looking manly or adopting a “men only” mentality. If that’s what you want out of a man cave, this list is not for you. This list is for the tasteful person looking for man cave ideas that they can be proud of. This list will not help you decorate your fratboy man cave. There are some awesome ways to add a little personality to your man cave that show off your more mature and tasteful side. Unique Hand-Crafted Whiskey Rocks: Personally, this is one of those things that I think every man cave should have handy. Whiskey rocks are one of those accessories that are often overlooked. If you enjoy a nice drink on the rocks, you are the definition of mature and tasteful. Tell your guests to leave your Bud Lights and PBR at the door! I think there is some benefit to getting rocks that stand out and are unique. First, it’s a statement about your personality and what you think is important if you have some whiskey rocks on hand. But that being said, basically, everyone has seen those boring cube ones. But these ones that I found are a unique shape and a unique color. Especially being handmade, you can’t beat that cool factor. If you have a minifridge under your man cave’s bar, throw these in its freeze compartment, and you will be prepared for any situation. Rustic Lamp: This rustic lamp is probably one of the best-looking decorations I have seen. This is one of those decorations that command an awful lot of attention in your room. I think this thing would look awesome in a rustic man cave. It has such a unique look with its spikey antlers that can match your man cave's wood grain. Sometimes it’s hard to find unique-looking rustic décor. It’s one of those styles that is a little overdone. This lamp proves that you aren’t just following a trend, you are making the trend your own. If you are looking for lighting that adds to the feel of the room, look no further. A lot of times, people will just throw style to the wayside when looking at lighting in their man cave. If you are going for a mature and tasteful feel, your florescent Budweiser sign probably isn’t going to cut it. Flexible Rustic Coffee Table: Not all man caves have the room for a coffee table. But, if you do have room, it’s worth finding one that is nice to look at. There are all kinds of uninteresting choices out there, by why would you go with that if you could get this thing? As you are probably beginning to notice, there is a theme of rustic styled décor in this article. If you have taken the time to read some of my other articles you will know that is my go-to man cave style. If you share my love for that rustic style, I think you will enjoy this coffee table I have chosen to show off. The awesome this about this coffee table is that it is great for smaller man caves. In a previous article, I explain how to build a man cave in a smaller room. Spoiler alert, one of the most important things to do is use furniture that has multiple uses. Because the top of this table can be pulled up, it is awesomely flexible. So, this thing has a lot going for it. It looks awesome, it is flexible, it has awesome reviews on Amazon, and it’s pretty affordable for what you are getting. Unique Glassware: The next few items are an important staple in man caves. If you have a bar in your man cave, you are going to want to make sure that you are fully equipped with glassware. This is especially important if you are expecting to do some entertaining. Sure you could go and get some pretty cheap glassware and be fine. But if you are truly aiming for a mature and tasteful man cave, you probably want to get a little more out of your glassware. That is exactly why I chose these two options for you. For a man cave, two of the most important things you need are beer mugs and shot glasses. These are two of the most unique options I could find. They will absolutely set you apart from other man caves. For the look and the craftsmanship you are getting with these shot glasses and beer mugs, the price is impressively inexpensive. If you end up buying these options, you could totally build yourself a way to proudly display them. These are the perfect way to add some subtle style a taste into your man cave. Display Framing For Golf Flag: Okay, this one may not be for everyone. For some reason, I really like the look of a framed golf glad in man caves. Obviously, this only makes sense if you are a golfer yourself. But if you are smart about how you frame the flag and where you hang it up, it can add an awesome 19th hole feeling to your man cave. If you are fortunate enough to have a membership at a golf course, you may be able to get a hold of one of their old flags. If you go that route, the decoration will mean that much more to you. Another option is to buy a Master’s flag. That could be another way to add a mature feel to your man cave. After all, what’s more, tasteful than golf? Yes, it may feel that this is an expensive price for a flag frame. But this is like what clubhouses will use to frame their golf flags. If you are going to do something, you may as well do it right. Industrial/Rustic Bar Stool: If you have a bar in your man cave, you probably have spent some time looking at bar stools. One of the most important purchases for a man cave’s bar is the accompanying bar stools. Especially if you built your bar, so much time has gone into it. With so much time going into it, you better be buying the right bar stool. With the right bar stool, people will want to gather around your bar. Shocker I know, but the first bar stool I picked is a higher-end one that is an awesome addition to a rustic or industrial man cave. With this bar stool, I love the mixture of metal and natural wood. That makes it a good addition to all kinds of man caves. I know that the first barstool I chose is more expensive. So, I decided to include one of the best values you can get. This is the exact bar stool I have in my man cave. They are simple, but they absolutely get the job done. Sometimes with barstools, they can be annoyingly wobbly. That does not happen with this bar stool. I have 5 of them around my bar, and every single one is solid. At the end of the day, that is exactly what we are looking for with budget options. Five Guitar Display: This is another option on this list that is not for everyone. This String Swing guitar display will let you proudly display your instruments. Out of all the different brands that make guitar holders, String Swing is one of the most trusted. As a guitar player myself, it feels awesome to see your prized guitars being proud hung up on the wall. This String Swing will let your prized guitar be a staple in your prized room. Sure there are other cheaper options for holding 5 guitars. The thing is, no have as good of a reputation or are as customizable as this one. I think this is the perfect representation of what I think man cave decorations should be. They should make YOU happy. They should have meaning to YOU. Take it from me, there is no better feeling than seeing your guitar proudly displayed in a prominent spot. Also, you will want to play the guitar more! Who doesn’t want to play more guitar? Final Thoughts: As you can tell, I decided to highlight some options in this article that aren't your typical frathouse man cave decoration.
